Children in the Village of Gnadenhutten attend school in the Indian Valley School District.  The system consists of two elementary schools in Midvale and Port Washington with grades K-5, a middle school in Tuscarawas with grades 6-8, and one high school with grades 9-12, Indian Valley High School in Gnadenhutten.  For more on the Indian Valley Schools, visit their Web Site at   http://www.ivtv.k12.oh.us.

Gnadenhutten is home to the Indian Valley Local Schools, which is a rural school district which covers not only Gnadenhutten, but also the towns in the surrounding areas.  The mission of the Indian Valley School District is to educate and nurture all students so they learn to the best of their abilities to become responsible and productive citizens.

Students from Indian Valley also go to school at the Buckeye Career Center to learn a skilled trade and prepare to enter the workforce.   The mission of the Buckeye Career Center is to prepare youth and adults to make informed choices and to successfully enter, compete, and advance in the changing world of work.  This will be achieved by education and the business community offering comprehensive education, training, and supply services that develop occupational skills, academic skills, and employability skills.

Kent State Tuscarawas is also close by and offers post-secondary education, associate and bachelor degree courses for students and continuing education.  Students from Indian Valley High School have been taking advantage of the post-secondary option the past several years. Located in New Philadelphia, Ohio, Kent State Tuscarawas is a regional campus of Kent State University.  Kent Sate Tuscarawas is recognized as one of the fastest growing campuses in the state of Ohio, with an increase of nearly 50 percent in total enrollment since 1995.  Easily accessible from SR 250 and I-77, the tree-lined grounds and fresh landscape give the gently rolling 170-acre campus an unhurried pace consistent with the surrounding valley and make it an attractive, modern and comfortable place to learn.
